13 Jun Mervue Equine Leinster Tour continues in Balivor
Sean Foley Clinches Victory at Ballivor Grand Prix 
Sean Foley emerged as the standout winner in the 1.35m Mervue Leinster Summer Tour last Sunday at the Ballivor Grand Prix Horse Show. Riding the talented Kinmar Hero Z, owned by Dermott Lennon and Gerry Marron, Foley delivered a flawless jump-off round, stopping the clock at 28.12 seconds.
Kinmar Hero Z, a nine-year-old stallion bred by Gerry Marron and Luc Henry, is by For Pleasure and out of a dam by Aganix Du Seigneur, Alana Hero Z — a bloodline built for performance.
It was a hotly contested class with 19 starters and seven double clears.
Young rider Oisin Magee and Landslide Aw were just behind, finishing in 28.17 seconds.
Brendan Murphy secured third aboard Abs Misty with a clear in 28.21.
Elliott Reeves and Goreshill Ruby took fourth (28.58),
Andrew Hodgins claimed fifth with Shanaclough Luichew (33.63)
Hodgins doubled up with a sixth-place finish on Sandra, also clear in 33.63.
1.20m Class Highlights
Sixteen competitors battled it out for a €1,000 purse in the 1.20m division, with eight double clears recorded.
Millie McNaughton took the win aboard Ship Shape, flying home in 29.82. This nine-year-old mare, bred by James Dunne and owned by David Miley, is by Lancelot out of a Clonbron Cavalier dam.
Dermott Lennon claimed second and fourth, with Lucardo (31.48) and Kinmar Royale (34.71)
Andrew Hodgins placed third with Canzaro (33.58)
Mischa Lennon, representing the junior ranks, slotted into fifth with Anthem In My Heart (34.93)
Gerard Clarke completed the top six on Chaplin Hero Z (36.37)
1.10m Victory for Junior Rider Brona Keane
It was a lightning-fast round from Brona Keane, who took top honours in the 1.10m aboard the homebred Krafty Crackers, finishing clear in 26.35. Bred and owned by Tholm Keane, the eight-year-old is by Ars Vivendi out of Krafty Kate (by Diamond Serpent).
Hannah McNiven (AA) and Hey You posted 27.60 for second.
Aoife Maguire (A) claimed third with Pharos Hazy Cove (27.66)
Brendan Murphy placed fourth on GGC Gravity (30.45)
Gerard Clarke took fifth with Drishoge Winnie Mood (30.62)
Lorraine Younge (AA) closed the top six aboard Adieu Flight (31.92)
