Leinster Training

Welcome back to Leinster Regional Training after the summer break. Leinster Regional training is open to ALL members.

The autumn period provides a great opportunity to start the Mackey Five Bar training scheme.

Qualification for the RDS 2017

Please note we have been advised by the RDS, to be eligible to compete in the 2017 qualifiers on 138 /148 ponies, children on horses or young riders classes, riders will have to have completed and pass Mackey Bar Two.

128 pony riders only need have to completed their Mackey Bar One

Extra training

For pony or young riders who are currently attending boarding school or are in an exam year and wish to complete Mackey Five Bar training ,arrangements can be made for training during the half term or the Christmas holidays provided there are sufficient numbers.

First Aid Course

Full QQI/Fetac Level Five first aid course in Mullingar Equestrian Centre.

On Monday’s 3^rd, 10^th and 17^th October.

This course includes the use of defilation equipment and fully complies with H.S.I. and work place Health and Safety requirements.

Course costs €190. Ten Places available

Mackey Bars Two and Three Assessment Day

Mackey Bar Two and Three assessment will take place in Knightsfield Equestrian on Saturday the 22^nd of October 2016.

If you have recently been signed off by your coach for Mackey Bars Two or Three and are currently awaiting an assessment please contact me as soon as possible with your details in order that you are included in this assessment day.

Please note that since January 2015 the new larger Mackey Five bar book is the one that will be used for these assessments. If you not have one of these books they are available for the SJI office or by contacting Rose Mary Rice your Regional Training Rep.
