19 Aug Mervue Equine Leinster Summer Tour is coming to a close
Mervue Equine Leinster Summer Tour 1.35 is coming to the final leg with Iverk (Piltown, Co. Kilkenny) this Saturday. Entries are open tomorrow morning with SJI on line and will close at 4 pm on Thursday. This is followed by the final at Barnadown the following week end with points and a half on offer.
In the lead at the moment is Paddy O’Donnell with Minority Report with 21 points. On the leader board for the Leading rider which has a purse of 2000 euro on offer is Paddy O’Donnell closely followed by Vincent Byrne and Mikey Pender.
“The Iverk Show is set to take place this Saturday, August 26, in Banagher, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny.
An action-packed show is promised, with a host of activities planned for the day. Events kick off with a show-jumping competition beginning at 9:00am.

First established in 1826, the Iverk show is claimed to be the oldest show in the country – having lasted some 191 years. The total prize fund for the day is expected by organisers to be in the region of €90,000.”
