
22 May Well done to Leinster riders who were in the line-up at the Dublin Horse Show Qualifiers at the weekend in the Meadows.
In the 128cm, Ben O’ Connor claimed victory with The Million Dollar Baby, when clear in 41.71. He also took fourth with Lisboy Black Magic. Hannah Horan took the runner-up place, four faults in the third round in 40.99, while Jullia Sheehan and Heartbreaker Charlie took third, eight faults in 36.97.
In the 138cm Donnacha Burns claimed fourth place with Youghal Paddy, double clear in 43.76. In sixth place was Ava O’ Neill and Flashdance Billy, four faults in 40.99
7th place went to Taylor-Grace Nolan Gee and Matilda Ii
In the 148cm Ruben Foley took the win in the 148cm with Wineport Q Junior, when they were the only double clear in 42.28. Emily O’Brien took the runner-up spot with Sween Rennes Girl, four faults in 40.55. Alex Sheehan and Ballynoe Lurgan Diamond claimed sixth place.
In the 148cm 6/7-year-olds, Saoirse O’ Neill and the six-year-old Corona Boy claimed victory when triple clear in 34.44. Ruben Foley and the seven-year-old Sparkling Hawkey 18 took third, clear in a time of 35.50. Susan Brannigan and the seven-year-old Imagine D’Argent took fourth when they clocked 36.85. In sixth was Ella Duignan and the seven-year-old Wyndham Miss Ellie, four faults in a time of 33.11.
Young riders
In the 1.25/1.30 Ted Donohoe and Tankardstown Wilco delivered a clear in 40.52 for third. James Derwin was fastest of the four faulters with Amos L Z in 40.08 for fifth place.
In the 1.35/ 1.40m Alex O’ Connor and Carreras 12 took the win when fastest of the four faulters in 35.75. Conor Brennan and MHS Im the One, took third with four faults in 36.68. Taking fourth place was Kate McGovern and SHS Syberl, when they had two down in 35.55. Cáit Kenny and Good Guy D’Authuit, finished on eight faults in 38.21 for sixth.
In the 1.10/ 1.15m ,Taking the win was Max Foley and the seven-year-old, Illusion de Hus, in a time of 34.88. Third Place belonged to Alice Moloney and MHS Jolene (7yo) in 35.01. Accounting for fifth place was Daniel Ring and Kilkern Quality (7yo) in 35.65.
In the Children on Horses Leinster riders took the first two places in the Children on Horses division. Taking the win was Alice Hartford and Kilderrys Joint Venture triple clear in 40.09. Chantal Whitehead partnered MHS Cuffesgrange to a clear in 41.09 for second place.
