Well done to Sven Hadley on “Sumas Taloubet” winner of the Connolly’s RED MILLS Spring Tour at Barnadown.  This competition was kindly sponsored by Ballywater Farm’s Stallions & supported by the Showjumper’s Club.

Going into the last three legs of the Tour, Sven is top of the Leader Board in the  with Karen McKenzie and Leinster’s John Floody coming close behind.  Just three more legs, Mullingar, Coilog and Warrington where there are points and a half on offer for the final leg  on Easter Sunday.

In the line up was Wexford Young rider, Patrick Hickey on his mother Lucy’s “Martini Van De Overis Z” being piped to the post for 1st place by 1 second.  He was one of the four double clears in the competition and was awarded 2nd place in the over all competition and was awarded “top young for the Barnadown leg of the Tour.

Patrick’s uncle Michael Hickey represented Ireland on many Nations Cups Team in 1970/80 and his cousin Mark Mc Auley is a well know International rider based in Italy.

Vickie Anderson, riding Zac is the front runner in the Pro am section of the  Tour.  She was awarded the Botantica Int prize yesterday(2/4/17) for the top Pro am rider.
